Our School Council meets at least once a term. All meetings are held in the staff room with Vicky.
At the beginning of each school year class elections are held to find a representative for the school council. Senior and FE students are responsible for supporting and looking after the younger children during each meeting.
A copy of the minutes from each meeting are typed up using the computer programme ‘writing with symbols’. These minutes are then placed on the School Council notice board, recording the most important points from the meeting.
Each class throughout school take part in a circle time before each council meeting is held. Here the minutes from the previous meeting are shared and new ideas, concern and school matters are discussed.
Each council member has their own school council badge this must be worn at each school council meeting and thoughout the school day.
