The Sixth Form department contains two large purpose based classrooms.

Curriculum Intent

Our statement of intent for our whole school curriculum is to ensure our students develop the necessary skills, knowledge and attitude to achieve fulfilling lives.

As an outstanding specialist school, we have an outreach programme, which supports pupils with SEND in the wider community to develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes to live fulfilled lives.

At Red Marsh School, we believe that providing the appropriate curriculum for each learner is an essential part of fulfilling the school’s purpose, values and curriculum intent.

Sixth Form Curriculum Intent

The intent of our sixth form curriculum is to ensure our students leave school with the necessary knowledge skills and attitudes to live fulfilling lives, ensuring they can reach their academic potential, stay save, keep healthy and be as independent as possible in the following three contexts:

  • In their homes
  • In the community
  • In future choices, including further education, employment or training (WRL)

Students gain a range of external accreditation and qualifications for their achievements.

Our sixth form curriculum is designed to prepare students for life beyond school meeting the individual needs of every student within the department.  All our students have personalised targets.  These targets ensure every student is working towards their Education Health and Care Plan outcomes and the knowledge and skills identified in our sixth form curriculum.
